L3Harris Lands $614M USSOCOM RF Countermeasures Logistics Contract

  • L3Harris has secured a $614 million USSOCOM contract to sustain the AN/ALQ-211 SIRFC electronic warfare system
  • The contract covers engineering, logistics, material procurement and field support for the countermeasures platform
  • USSOCOM obligated $40.7 million at the time of award using procurement and operations funding

L3Harris Technologies has received a $614 million contract to provide logistics support for the Suite of Integrated Radio Frequency Countermeasures system, or SIRFC, in support of U.S. Special Operations Command, or USSOCOM.

What Does the SIRFC Contract Cover?

The Department of War said Monday the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes a mix of firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursement contract line items for logistics support tied to the AN/ALQ-211 SIRFC system. According to a presolicitation notice published in December 2024 on SAM.gov, the contract covers program management, engineering, contractor logistics support, material procurement, field service representatives and administration support.

L3Harris designed and developed the AN/ALQ-211 and holds the system’s intellectual property rights, making it the only company qualified to sustain the highly specialized equipment.

What Are the Contract Details?

USSOCOM at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida serves as the contracting activity. At the time of award, the command obligated $40.7 million in fiscal 2025 and fiscal 2026 procurement funds and fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds.

The award adds to L3Harris’ portfolio of electronic warfare sustainment work for the Defense Department. In 2021, the company secured a potential $947.3 million Air Force contract to provide engineering services for the AN/ALQ-172 Countermeasures Program. More recently, in 2024, it received a $34 million Air Force award to support the modernization of the same electronic warfare system.
