Former Valkyrie Enterprises Exec Tom Viehe Becomes Precise Systems’ Business Development EVP

Tom Viehe, former vice president of business development at Valkyrie Enterprises, has been appointed executive vice president of business development at Precise Systems, the company announced Thursday.

Viehe “brings a disciplined, results-driven approach to growth that aligns directly with how we are scaling Precise Systems,” said Matthew Orsino, Precise Systems’ chief growth officer. “He will help drive enterprise-wide excellence as we tackle some of our nation’s most pressing challenges and deliver mission impact for the warfighter,” Orsino added.

What Is Tom Viehe’s Career History?

Viehe joined Precise Systems in April. Prior to that, he worked for more than three years at Valkyrie Enterprises, starting out as assistant vice president of business development. From 2017 to 2023, he was a member of the board of directors of 826DC, a nonprofit organization focused on inspiring and improving the writing skills of students age 6 to 18. Viehe was also part of defense and space firm Systems Engineering Group, an Astrion company. He served as director of business development from 2020 to 2023. Between 2015 and 2020, he was a capture manager at EMD Strategies and T-Solutions, both veteran-owned enterprises. Viehe spent seven years at IDS International, a company that provides training, cyber and other technical services to government projects.

What Is Precise Systems?

Precise Systems is a defense company specializing in areas not limited to electromagnetic warfare, interactive military training and simulation, and assessment of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats. This month, it was awarded a $116.8 million contract by the U.S. Navy to assist in engineering, logistics and programming for electronic warfare systems used by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division. In September 2025, Precise Systems completed the purchase of Mission Focused Systems to gain rights to the latter’s expertise in agile systems research, engineering and prototyping.
