Entarian Promotes Cale Husted to Defense SVP

  • Husted will lead a $150 million defense business
  • He previously ran Entarian’s maritime operations portfolio
  • Promotion follows ERT’s rebrand after acquiring Sev1Tech

Entarian has promoted Cale Husted to senior vice president of defense, putting him in charge of a $150 million business serving defense customers.

Husted will oversee operational performance and customer engagement while working with the company’s solutions organization, Entarian said Tuesday. The company tied the promotion to its investment in internal mobility and professional development.

What Experience Does Husted Bring to the Role?

Husted most recently led Entarian’s maritime operations portfolio supporting the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard, overseeing more than 170 employees and roughly $53 million in annual revenue.

He joined through the corporate lineage that produced Entarian. Husted spent nearly 10 years at Geocent, rising from IT program manager to executive director and then vice president. He was serving as vice president of operations when Sev1Tech acquired Geocent in 2021. Entarian said he helped scale Geocent past $75 million in annual revenue and built its Department of Homeland Security portfolio from inception to more than 125 employees.

Earlier in his career, Husted held consultant roles at SAIC and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command from 2009 to 2011 and worked as a senior financial analyst at Sauer-Danfoss and KB Home. He studied at Clemson University’s Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business.

What Is Entarian?

Entarian provides digital and systems engineering, IT modernization and cybersecurity services to space, defense and federal civilian customers. The company took its current name in April, rebranding from ERT after acquiring Sev1Tech in February.

Sev1Tech holds a SeaPort Next Generation contract with Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic for lifecycle IT and cybersecurity support and is among the contractors eligible to compete for task orders under the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense vehicle. Macquarie Capital invested in ERT in 2024.
