Boeing Secures $528M DLA Contract Modification for Performance-Based Support Services

  • Boeing has landed a $528 million DLA award to keep military aircraft support operations running
  • The work spans logistics, engineering and supply chain services for all four military branches
  • The contract runs through September 2027 under Boeing’s long-running Captains of Industry agreement

Boeing has secured a $528.3 million contract modification from the Defense Logistics Agency to continue providing performance-based support services for U.S. military customers.

What Does the Contract Modification Cover?

The Department of War said Friday the award modifies a definitized delivery order issued under a three-year basic ordering agreement and supports sustainment requirements of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps. According to a presolicitation notice published on SAM.gov in January, the work includes supply chain management, engineering and depot support services, material availability management and logistics support for U.S. military and foreign military sales customers.

What Are the Details of the DLA Contract Award?

The sole-source contract modification under Boeing’s Captains of Industry agreement is a performance-based logistics vehicle that supports sustainment requirements for military aircraft. It is funded with fiscal 2026 defense working capital funds and is scheduled for completion by Sept. 16, 2027. DLA Weapons Support in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serves as the contracting activity for the award.

The award builds on Boeing’s longstanding relationship with DLA. In 2020, the company secured a $477 million logistics contract to provide supply chain management and logistics services for multiple weapon systems. The agency also exercised an $835.7 million contract option in 2019 for Boeing to provide consumable items supporting military aviation platforms.
