QTS Data Centers has promoted Stephen Douglas, currently deputy chief financial officer, to CFO, effective Sept. 1.
In a LinkedIn post, the company said current CFO Jeff Berson will transition into an advisory role on the same date, continuing to provide strategic support across corporate strategy, capital markets and other key initiatives to drive growth initiatives.
What Are Douglas’ Responsibilities as CFO?
QTS said Douglas will continue building on the company’s financial foundation while helping lead QTS through its next phase of growth. His responsibilities include guiding the company’s financial strategy and supporting QTS as it scales operations to meet customer demand.
Who Is Stephen Douglas?
Douglas is a more than two-decade finance professional who joined QTS in 2015 as vice president of investor relations and strategic planning, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously served as executive VP of finance at the company.
Before joining QTS, he was VP of equity research at Bank of America.
The University of Richmond business administration graduate also served as an associate at financial and risk advisory firm Duff & Phelps.

QTS Data Centers is a data center provider offering colocation, hyperscale and cloud connectivity services to enterprise and government customers.
The company recently partnered with Lancium on a data center campus expected to generate more than $10 billion in capital investment, create thousands of high-paying jobs and support economic growth in Hall County, Texas. QTS will design, develop and operate the data center buildings that will be established on Lancium’s Clean Campus
The promotion came a month after QTS appointed Theo Yedinsky, a 20-year public policy and regulatory affairs executive, as chief external affairs officer.
