Scale AI has acquired ICG Solutions, a defense technology firm that offers real-time streaming data analytics, in a move to deepen its support for national security and intelligence missions, the company said Monday.

What Capabilities Does ICG Solutions Bring to Scale AI?
Through the acquisition, Scale will integrate ICG’s LUX technology into its agentic platform to develop an advanced end-to-end artificial intelligence infrastructure. The LUX platform ingests, correlates and delivers real-time alerts across large-scale data streams.
The full-stack system is designed to process raw data into situational awareness, enabling the delivery of AI-driven operational insights within a secure environment. ICG will initially operate as a wholly owned subsidiary to ensure continuity of existing contracts.
How Does the Acquisition Align With Defense Priorities?
The acquisition follows the Department of War’s January 2026 AI-First strategy memo and the rollout of GenAI.mil, which emphasizes rapid adoption of frontier AI. The partnership aims to speed the development and deployment of data-driven AI for sensitive defense and intelligence missions.
Expanding Defense AI Partnerships & Contracts
Prior to the ICG acquisition, Scale AI had been expanding its role in defense technology. In March, the company teamed with BAE Systems to advance AI capabilities for DOW platforms and mission environments. This builds on earlier efforts in 2025, including a $100 million agreement awarded by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office to deliver advanced AI tools to warfighters. Scale also secured a $99.5 million U.S. Army contract for research and development services supporting military AI innovation.
