What Does the T-38C Avionics Sustainment Contract Cover?
The Department of War said Wednesday the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract calls for full life cycle support of the T-38C avionics system to maintain operational readiness and airworthiness. According to the draft request for proposals for the contract released in 2024, the work includes sustaining hardware and software, systems engineering, contractor-operated and maintained base supply, logistics support, program management, and courseware revision and maintenance services.
Where Will the Work Take Place?
The St. Louis-based company will conduct work across multiple Air Force installations, including bases in Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New Mexico and California, along with additional locations in Maryland and Missouri.
What Are the Contract Terms?
Awarded on March 31, this 10-year contract runs through March 2036 and was finalized following a competitive solicitation that yielded a single bid. Upon award, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Legacy Training Aircraft Division at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, obligated over $56.2 million in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds.
