Space Systems Command said Thursday it awarded the follow-on Ground Management and Integration, or GMI, OTA agreement to support Epoch 1 and Epoch 2 missions.

What Is the Scope of the Space Force OTA Agreement?

The cost-reimbursement OTA agreement covers ground management and integration support for space vehicle launch and operations. Kratos will also provide real-time information for decision-makers under the contract.

Lt. Col. Joe Silvio, System Delta 84, or SYD 84, GMI program manager, said the award reflects Space Force efforts to establish an agile acquisition strategy that emphasizes speed, performance and collaboration with industry.

What Is the Resilient MWT MEO Program?

The Resilient MWT MEO program seeks to rapidly acquire and integrate infrared sensing technology into a MEO satellite constellation to help detect and track hypersonic and intercontinental ballistic missiles. SSC manages the program under SYD 84

Col. Michael Rupp, system program director for SYD 84, said the program uses competitive awards to multiple vendors and applies the Middle Tier of Acquisition approach to support rapid capability delivery.

In early March, a constellation of 10 satellites that BAE Systems is developing for the Resilient MWT MEO Epoch 2 program completed preliminary design review.

In June 2025, BAE won a $1.2 billion contract to build 10 MWT Epoch 2 satellites, with initial deliveries expected to begin in fiscal year 2029.

The Resilient MWT Epoch 1 OTA was awarded to Boeing subsidiary Millennium Space Systems. Under the award, the company will provide 12 MEO satellites.
