Alpha Omega Names Gordon Boozer Cybersecurity VP

Technology company Alpha Omega has appointed Gordon Boozer, a federal government veteran and cyber leader, as vice president of cybersecurity.

The Vienna, Virginia-based company said Tuesday Boozer will oversee Alpha Omega’s cybersecurity capabilities, strategy and delivery efforts to help federal agency clients protect critical systems while advancing digital transformation.

In this capacity, he will conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of the company’s cybersecurity workforce across training, knowledge and certifications. He will also help identify opportunities for artificial intelligence implementation while leveraging Alpha Omega’s A2O platform and other IP solutions to define a Level 2 roadmap under the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program and other key accreditations.

Who Is Gordon Boozer?

Boozer has over 26 years of leadership experience at several federal agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Health and Human Services and the State Department.

The certified Project Management Professional maintains multiple certifications, including Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, Certified Information Security Manager and Advanced in Artificial Intelligence Security Management from ISACA. He also has certifications in IT service management and Scrum.

He holds a master’s degree in information systems from Drexel University.
