Redwire Announces Leadership, Board Transitions

Redwire has announced a series of leadership and board changes aimed at advancing its strategic growth and governance priorities.

The board of directors has appointed retired U.S. Army Gen. James McConville and Dorothy Hayes as independent directors, while Jonathan Baliff and John Bolton have stepped down from the board effective immediately, Redwire said Tuesday. Baliff will also retire as the company’s chief financial officer on Nov. 30, with Chris Edmunds, the company’s senior vice president and chief accounting officer, named as his potential successor.

Redwire Board Refreshment

McConville, former Army chief of staff, brings extensive leadership and defense experience to the Redwire board. Over his 34-year military career, he led combat organizations from platoon to division level, commanded the 101st Airborne Division and oversaw global operations across 140 countries. He currently serves as an operating partner at AE Industrial Partners, a senior fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Center and a member of the Georgia Tech Research Institute External Advisory Council.

Hayes, a seasoned finance and governance professional, has held executive roles at Intuit, Agilent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard and Apollo Computer. She currently serves on the BigBear.ai board as audit committee chair and brings expertise in audit, risk management and corporate governance.

CFO Transition and Leadership Continuity

Following his retirement announcement, Baliff will continue to serve Redwire in a consulting capacity through December 2026 to ensure a smooth transition. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening the company’s finance, accounting and IT operations and led major transactions, including the acquisition of Edge Autonomy.

Edmunds, expected to replace Baliff, joined Redwire in 2020 and has since advanced through several leadership positions. He has nearly two decades of finance and accounting experience, including 15 years at Ernst & Young. Edmunds holds accounting degrees from Samford University and the University of Notre Dame and is a certified public accountant.

“Chris is the ideal person to step into the CFO role for Redwire’s next phase of growth,” said Peter Cannito, chairman and CEO of Redwire. He brings “deep knowledge of our business and organization, along with significant finance and accounting expertise.”
