STRATCOM is responsible for nuclear command and control, strategic deterrence, global strike and electromagnetic spectrum operations worldwide. To carry out these missions, the command needs a secure, resilient and interconnected enterprise IT environment.
Under the new contract, GDIT will apply digital engineering to improve efficiency and collaboration among mission partners, integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning into enterprise data systems, and transition STRATCOM to a hybrid cloud environment for scalability. The company will also deploy advanced cyber defenses and zero trust architectures to protect against evolving threats.
“Modernizing STRATCOM’s IT capabilities is critical to protecting our national security and maintaining our strategic deterrence edge,” said Brian Sheridan, senior vice president for Defense at GDIT. “We look forward to delivering a secure, agile and resilient network that enables our warfighters to be better connected, informed and ready.”
The award builds on GDIT’s growing support for combatant commands. The company provides digital modernization services for U.S. Central Command and delivers technical and mission support services for U.S. Special Operations Command.
