Pasteur Labs Acquires Digital Platforms Developer FOSAI

Pasteur Labs has acquired FOSAI for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to drive the adoption of its artificial intelligence-driven physics simulation capabilities for defense and space applications.

“This acquisition represents a natural evolution of our mission to bridge the gap between breakthrough simulation-based R&D and real-world impact,” Pasteur Labs CEO Alexander Lavin said in a statement published Thursday.

What Does FOSAI Do?

FOSAI provides autonomy and space systems for defense and aerospace sectors. It is focused on building digital platforms for system integration, plug-and-play architectures and data services integration for autonomous systems in aerospace and defense applications.

The AI startup has partnered on critical initiatives with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, U.S. Space Force, defense primes and aerospace companies.

“FOSAI’s deep expertise in dual-use software systems integration, combined with their proven ability to deliver mission-critical solutions, gives us the pathway to deploy our Simulation Intelligence Platform where it can create the most value: in domains that demand both cutting-edge innovation and unwavering reliability,” Lavin stated.

The company’s Simulation Intelligence Platform offers in-silico playgrounds to human-machine teams addressing pressing challenges across industrial research and development.

With FOSAI’s addition, Pasteur Labs aims to address the challenge of integrating AI-native digital engineering into legacy operational platforms.
