BWX Technologies has announced the appointment of Mike Fitzgerald as the company’s permanent chief financial officer. Fitzgerald was named interim CFO on May 12 after Robb LeMasters stepped down as executive vice president and CFO, BWXT said Thursday.
According to Rex Geveden, BWXT president and CEO, Fitzgerald has done an outstanding job as interim CFO. “I continue to be impressed by his strategic vision and deep understanding of the business,” he added.
In 2024, the Northern Virginia Technology Council recognized Fitzgerald’s financial leadership at the manufacturing and engineering company with a Rising Star Award.

Before joining BWXT, he was the managing director of MorganFranklin’s aerospace and defense practice. He also became an audit senior manager at Deloitte & Touche.
The executive currently serves on the board of the nonprofit organization CRi.
