The U.S. Navy has awarded spots under its $240 million firm-fixed price, multiple-award contract to six companies. Under the contract, the companies will provide radiological services to the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Contract Details
NAVFAC requires radiological services to support the investigative and remedial actions performed at environmentally contaminated sites across the command’s entire area of responsibility. The command builds and maintains sustainable facilities for the Navy and the Marine Corps.
Work will be performed within the United States and at various sites worldwide. The project’s anticipated completion date is November 2033. NAVFAC Southwest in San Diego, California, serves as the contracting activity.
The command also recently posted a proposal solicitation for various construction projects within the NAVFAC Washington area of operations, which covers D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The Multiple Award Construction Contract is valued at 8 billion and will cover general construction and building repair, alteration and maintenance.
