Evans comes to Empower AI after eight years at Oasis Systems, a defense and space manufacturing company based in Burlington, Massachusetts. She previously served as chief human resources officer of Oasis and managed the company’s recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits efforts. The executive also oversaw the company’s move to a self-insured benefits program, which led to $5 million in annual savings.
Before Oasis, Evans held the role of human resources VP at MAR, a provider of enterprise applications to the U.S. Navy. At MAR, she led 250 employees and maintained its corporate policy and procedures manual.
Oasis acquired MAR in 2015.
Evans holds a bachelor’s degree in human ecology and a master’s degree in human resource management from the University of Maryland.
