As the head of BWXT Medical, Cirtain was responsible for integrating technical expertise and resources across the business to identify and develop new technologies and commercial opportunities.
Cirtain has been with BWXT for over seven years now, holding various posts such as director of commercial technologies, president of advanced technology programs and chief technology officer.
Notably, the executive has almost a decade of experience in serving at NASA. He was a manager for its Heliophysics, Planetary, and Space Weather Office before becoming chief strategist and eventually manager of its Science Research Office.
His career also includes time working at Astraea and the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
