Sam Maness, managing director of Raymond James’ Defense and Government Services group, recently accepted his 2024 Wash100 Award during a meeting with Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson, who founded the accolade.
Wash100 annually highlights executives in the government contracting industry who have demonstrated exceptional leadership. Recipients of a Wash100 Award are those who have transformed the GovCon field through their past achievements and have proven that they can continue to shape the space in the future.
Maness’ 2024 Wash100 win is his first, and he earned the award for leading Raymond James’ support for mergers and acquisitions for various GovCon enterprises. One of these endeavors was the sale of Resolute Technologies to Eqlipse Technologies, a subsidiary of BlueHalo. The firm also helped Eqlipse with its purchase of Gradient Zero.
Garrettson described Maness as “exceptionally well networked and embedded in the core executive community of government contracting and support services” and “a bold leader within the increasingly important investment banking segment of the bustling GovCon marketplace.”
