7 Companies Win Spots on $820M Air Force KC-46 Commodities Depot Activation Contract

Seven companies have secured spots on a potential 11-year, $820 million contract to provide commodities depot activation support services for the U.S. Air Force’s KC-46 aerial refueling and military transport aircraft fleet.

The contractors will provide line replaceable units and commodities to establish organic depot repair capabilities of the KC-46A refueling tankers under the multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The awardees are:

  • AAR Government Services Inc.
  • AMI Industries
  • Aviation Repair Technologies
  • Boeing (NYSE: BA)
  • Collins Aerospace
  • Honeywell International (Nasdaq: HON)
  • VSE Corp.

Work will occur at main government operating bases in the U.S. through April 30, 2035.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center received seven bids for the IDIQ and will obligate funds in the service branch’s fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement budget.
