Godspeed Capital-Backed Stengel Hill Architecture Buys Architect Design Company SCA

Stengel Hill Architecture, an architectural, engineering and consulting company backed by Godspeed Capital Management, has acquired Smith Consulting Architects in a move to broaden its architecture design capabilities and expand its market presence in California.

San Diego, California-based SCA is a woman-owned company that offers master planning, architecture design and interior design services for industrial, health care, research and development, laboratory and manufacturing sectors.

It also designs facilities that comply with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards for government customers and real estate developers.

“With its track-record of success executing projects across industrial, government, healthcare and retail markets, and talented team of dedicated professionals, SCA is an ideal fit for SHA’s national growth strategy,” said Chip Hill, senior principal and founding partner of SHA.

The transaction marks the SHA’s first acquisition since it received a strategic investment from Godspeed Capital in October 2023.

Latham & Watkins acted as legal adviser to Godspeed Capital on the SCA acquisition.
