Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a potential $235.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy to produce and deliver 118 units of a guided air-launched missile under Lot 3 low-rate initial production phase.
The company will provide 84 AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range all-up rounds for the Navy and 34 AGM-88G AARGM AURs for the U.S. Air Force under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The contract also covers the provision of six AGM-88G AARGM-ER captive air training missiles, 10 dummy air training missiles for the Air Force, eight telemetry/flight termination system kits for the Navy, initial spares, special tooling and test equipment kits and related supplies and support services.
Naval Air Systems Command is financing the contract using the Navy’s fiscal years 2022 and 2023 weapons procurement funds and the Air Force’s FY 2023 mission procurement funds.
Work will occur in California and West Virginia through February 2027.
The latest contract came a year after Northrop and the Navy completed the fourth flight test of the AARGM-ER missile.
