In this role, he will build and oversee a team focused on advancing Zscaler’s policy, operational and technical relationships with governments worldwide, including improving collaboration between the company’s ThreatLabZ intelligence team and cyber agencies to help counter cyberattacks, the company said Wednesday.
Gillis most recently served as VP of cybersecurity strategy and global policy at Palo Alto Networks (Nasdaq: PANW).
He held senior leadership positions at the White House’s National Security Council and the Department of Homeland Security.
Gillis said he is excited to join Zscaler to help countries and critical infrastructure address cybersecurity issues and looks forward to leveraging the company’s technology to help governments implement zero trust.
