Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) will equip Wright Patterson Air Force Base with computer systems under a $26.5 million firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Army.
The Department of Defense said Thursday funds for the delivery and installation of HPE computers at the air base in Ohio were covered by the Army’s fiscal year 2023 other procurement allocation.
HPE, the sole bidder, was obligated the full contract amount at the time of award. The USACE Engineer Research and Development Center serves as the contracting activity.
Earlier in July, USACE awarded the company a separate contract for the upgrade of DOD laboratories’ high performance computing capabilities. It will perform work as part of the HPC Modernization Program at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi until May 10, 2029.
