Alec Newell, former senior strategy and business development manager at General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) mission systems business, has assumed the role of business development vice president at NetCentrics.
He will help drive growth in NetCentrics’ national security and federal civilian segments through strategies for IT and mission support products and services, the Herndon, Virginia-based technology company said Wednesday.
Newell brings 20 years of experience in business development and government procurement to his role. He has handled projects for federal agencies, notably the Department of Defense, as well as the intelligence community.
Apart from General Dynamics, he also worked in a similar role at military and tactical equipment supplier ADS for 10 years.
