3 Companies Win Spots on $132M Army Practice Cartridge Supply Contract

The U.S. Army awarded three companies positions on a five-year, $132 million contract to manufacture full-range practice bullet cartridges.

Day & Zimmermann, Nammo and Canadian Commercial Corp. are the awardees on the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Under the contract’s terms, the companies will compete for task orders to manufacture and deliver the cartridges until May 26, 2028.

Army Contracting Command received three bids via an online solicitation process and will determine the work location and funds on a per-order basis.

Nammo is a Norway-headquartered aerospace and defense company that builds ammunition, rocket engines and space technology. Its subsidiary in Scranton, Pennsylvania, will carry out the task orders.

Canadian Commercial Corp. operates as a government-owned enterprise and provides international contracting services to help connect domestic contractors to foreign government buyers.
