The Department of the Air Force has begun seeking proposals for the recompete of geospatial support and services to enhance shared situational awareness and improve decision-making processes in military combat operations.
The GS&S 2.0 procurement effort will consist of approximately 10 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity basic contracts, with half being reserved for small businesses, according to a notice posted Monay on SAM.gov.
Task orders encompass operations support; geospatial strategic support; communications, education and training support; geospatial analysis and data presentation; geospatial data; geospatial IT system support and management; system assessment and authorization; application development, modernization and sustainment; and surge and contingency support.
GS&S 2.0 will support major commands, field operating agencies, numbered air forces, main operating bases and forward operating locations.
