Clater and O’Donoghue wrote in a joint article published on Carahsoft‘s website that agencies looking to quickly achieve mission outcomes should look for industry partners that recognize the importance of continuous modernization.
“Investing in a continuous innovation cycle is critical,” they stated.
They noted that such industry partners invest heavily in tech development and testing efforts to ensure that the platforms they offer meet the agencies’ requirements and solve mission problems.
O’Donoghue and Clater discussed how Leidos leverages the cybersecurity, automation and operational efficiency that Red Hat products offer to meet the needs of government agencies.
They said agencies implementing tech modernization initiatives should look for industry partners that know how to navigate the government’s acquisition, governance and security requirements, recognize the power of partnerships and have the commitment to delivering mission outcomes.
O’Donoghue is chief technology officer of the civil group at Leidos and Clater is chief architect of Red Hat’s public sector segment in North America.
