Lockheed Awarded $202M in Navy Task Orders for Joint Strike Fighter Program Support

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received two task orders worth $202.5 million combined under a basic ordering agreement with the U.S. Navy to provide services in support of the Joint Strike Fighter Program.

The Department of Defense said Thursday Lockheed’s aeronautics business will provide non-recurring engineering under a potential $170 million order to perform modifications to flight test instrumentation of four production aircraft – AF-413, BF-139, CF-95 and CF-110 – in support of Tech Refresh 3 and Block 4 weapons testing goals of the program as well as ship suitability testing for service branches and non-DOD program participants.

Work will occur in Texas, California, Florida, New Hampshire, Maryland, Japan and the U.K. through July 2026.

Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and is obligating $16.6 million in fiscal 2023 funds.

The company will also design, build and establish the F-35 NextGen Open Mission services for the Mission Planning Enterprise Software under a $32.5 modification.

Mission Planning Enterprise Software covers the use of modern software techniques and cloud-based technologies in support of the Joint Strike Fighter Program.

NAVAIR is obligating $10 million in FY 2023 funds and work on this modification will be carried out in Texas and Florida through March 2027.
