Todd Hughes, former senior vice president of technology of BigBear.ai (NYSE: BBAI), has been appointed VP and chief innovation officer at autonomous software provider Scientific Systems Company Inc.
Hughes will lead SSCI’s efforts to grow its work in the artificial intelligence-powered mission autonomy software area, the company said Thursday.
While at BigBear, Hughes led a research and development team focused on the development of data-driven decision support tools. He previously served as technical director for strategic projects and initiatives at CACI International (NYSE: CACI) and chief technology officer at Next Century Corp., where he held an eight-year career prior to that company’s sale to CACI in October 2019.
Hughes also held managerial roles at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Advanced Technology Laboratories.
