Christopher Kubasik, chair and CEO of L3Harris, said in a statement published Thursday Zamarro is a finance leader with experience in business operations, capital markets, strategy, mergers and acquisitions and international transactions.
“Her professional background and skillsets will be tremendous assets as we continue to expand our global market presence and reposition our company as a Trusted Disruptor within the defense industry,” added Kubasik, a three-time Wash100 awardee.
Zamarro’s election brings the number of L3Harris board members to 14.
Zamarro is responsible for Goodyear’s strategic planning and analysis, global treasury, risk management, investor relations and capital allocation management functions. She also spearheaded the company’s acquisition of Cooper Tire in 2021.
She has held leadership positions since joining Goodyear in 2007, including assistant treasurer, capital markets and risk management and VP of investor relations. She previously held finance roles at Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F).
Zamarro said she is excited to join the board as L3Harris continues its strategy to launch new technologies and transform the defense sector both in the U.S. and abroad.
