He will succeed David Storch, who has held the chairman role since 2005 and will retire from the board on Jan. 10, 2023, AAR said Wednesday.
Holmes initially joined Wood Dale, Illinois-based company in 2001 as director of mergers and acquisitions and later served as general manager of the parts trading business unit. He took over the CEO position from Storch in 2018 and became the third person to hold the post since the company’s founding in 1955.
He will focus on driving corporate growth strategies once he assumes chairmanship.
Prior to joining AAR, Holmes worked at William Blair as an investment banking analyst, according to his LinkedIn profile.
