Abt said Thursday that Smith will oversee Abt’s newly formed business organization that employs more than 500 professionals who conduct studies and collect data on social determinants of health.
“As she leads our newly integrated domestic unit, her broad substantive knowledge will enable her to promote multi-sectoral collaboration to the benefit of our clients and the people served by their missions,” said Kathleen Flanagan, president and CEO of Abt.
Smith has managed LMI’s engagement with federal health care and civilian agency customers for one and a half years. Her career at the Tysons, Virginia-based management consultancy spanned nearly a decade.
She previously supported U.S. Peace Corps missions in Ethiopia as a volunteer in Ethiopia and coordinated a U.S. Agency for International Development working group that studied gender-based violence.
