Matt Luxton, formerly a member of the executive leadership team at General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has joined Cubic as senior vice president and general counsel.
He will report to Stevan Slijepcevic, president and CEO of Cubic and a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient, and provide advice to the management team on legal matters related to operations and business growth initiatives, the company said Thursday.
Luxton held various roles of increasing responsibility during his more than 20-year career at General Dynamics, most recently serving as VP and general counsel for safety and security within the company’s Electric Boat subsidiary.
He also previously served as VP and chief financial officer of General Dynamics’ NASSCO business and spent more than two years at Honeywell Aerospace as an assistant general counsel, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Matt’s diverse portfolio of experience across multiple domains, strong technical and financial skills coupled with legal acumen makes him an asset to Cubic,” Slijepcevic said.
