Bryan Ware, founder and CEO of Next5, will serve as CEO of LookingGlass as part of the merger, LookingGlass said Wednesday.
Ware said combining LookingGlass’ novel technologies with Next5’s business intelligence services and expert network will strengthen the combined company’s ability to support clients’ critical cyber missions and that he intends to deepen LookingGlass investments to address near-future challenges, such as applying machine learning and artificial intelligence to complex cyber use cases.
“This positions LookingGlass to expand our impact as we broaden our engagement across the public and private sectors, especially as the nation prepares for another election, endures persistent cyber conflict, and competes with autocratic adversaries for technological supremacy,” added Ware.
Ware previously served as assistant director of cybersecurity at the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, where he came up with a five-year strategy to advance computing and sensor infrastructure modernization, protect critical infrastructure and transform services delivery.
Prior to CISA, he advised the DHS secretary on emerging technology and cybersecurity issues as an assistant secretary.
LookingGlass provides attack surface insights, threat actor profiling and internet intelligence support to U.S. federal and state governments, critical infrastructure organizations, international public sector and private entities and multinational corporations.
