Garett Presson, formerly vice president of enterprise platforms at Abt Associates, has been promoted to global chief information officer of the Rockville, Maryland-based consulting and research company.
He will lead the global strategy and operations of Abt’s information technology organization with responsibility for cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise platforms and corporate technology delivery functions, the company said Thursday.
His new role also entails work to consolidate core IT services and systems across the U.S., the U.K., Australia and over 50 countries where the company operates.
Abt first welcomed Presson in 2017 as VP for enterprise platforms, a role through which he managed operational analytics, business tools and other strategic and operational components of the company’s enterprise systems.
He previously held various positions at PwC, BAI, GATX, Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Deloitte.
Abt Associates recognized Presson with a President’s Leadership Award for developing processes that help employees comply with requirements while maintaining flexible work times.
