Six large and small businesses have secured positions on a pair of contracts worth $977.4 million combined, to help the U.S. Navy maintain non-nuclear surface combatant and amphibious vessels that are visiting or stationed in the Norfolk, Virginia, port.
Naval Sea Systems Command is procuring modernization, repair and maintenance services for six ship classes through the two multiple-award firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The first IDIQ award, valued at $639.8 million, covers support for the service branch’s CG and DDG ships.
The second contract has a $337.6 million ceiling price for work on LHA, LHD, LPD and LSD vessels.
Both procurement vehicles have a five-year ordering period slated to conclude in January 2027 and all six awardees can vie for individual delivery orders.
