URS Wins $43M Marines C4ISR Contract, Randy Wotring Comments

URS Corp. (NYSE: URS) has won a maximum $42.9 million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Ind. to support U.S. Marine Corps C4ISR systems.

The contract has one base year and one year option period.

URS will provide acquisition, engineering and program management services for new systems and sustain legacy systems used by the Marines’ air command and control systems community.

Legacy system work will include engineering services for the air defense communications platform, the communications data link systems and others.

“We are honored by this contract award which allows us to expand our relationship with both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, ” said Randall Wotring, president of federal services for URS. “We look forward to supporting the readiness of their valuable C4ISR assets.
