Jacobs (NYSE: J) will carry out mission support services at Dugway Proving Ground’s West Desert Test Center in Utah under a potential five-year, $60 million contract from the U.S. Army.
The company said Tuesday it will support various chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive defense technologies and activities by providing subject matter expertise and operations and technical services.
Work under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract also covers CBRNE incident training as well as live and constructive field exercises for foreign allies, service branches and first responders.
Jacobs will also help mobilize and modernize the collection of CBRNE incident data through field deployment and evaluation of wireless communications systems.
“Jacobs has supported DPG in executing this global defense mission since 2004 and we’re honored to continue our longstanding partnership with the Army and Department of Defense,” said Jennifer Richmond, senior vice president for advancing national security defense at Jacobs’ critical mission solutions unit.
The Army designated West Desert Test Center as a facility for biological and chemical defense demonstrations.
