“We want to expand the role of outcome-based research and information in the policy domain, through our experience, our technology, and our unique access to data,” said Jason Providakes, Mitre president and CEO and Wash100 Award recipient.
Mitre will leverage its public-private partnerships, the operation of federally funded R&D centers, technical expertise and the company’s labs and independent research programs to provide innovative ideas to inform public policy.
The center will collaborate with government, industry, universities, think tanks and non-profit organizations to develop actionable policy based on data insights and modeling and simulation. Mitre’s Center for Data-Driven Policy will release its first set of white papers, including: Framework for Developing and Implementing Data-Driven, Actionable Policy; Delivering Mission Outcomes Through Digital Transformation and Actionable Ethics for Fairness in AI, among others.
