Leonardo DRS has received a potential five-year, $189.8 million contract from the U.S. Army to develop a technology to protect its troops from hostile unmanned aircraft systems.
The Department of Defense (DoD) said Monday the company will develop, produce, deploy and support the service’s Mobile-Low, Slow, Small UAS Integrated Defeat System under the firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.
Army Contracting Command issued a solicitation and received one offer for the contract.
Work will run through July 30, 2025, and the service will determine the performance location and obligate funds upon award of each task order.
