The Defense Microelectronics Activity has awarded eight companies a $10.27B contract modification for engineering and technology insertion services intended to help modernize the Department of Defense’s electronic assets.
The award increases the total potential value of the Advanced Technology Support Program IV contract originally issued in 2016 to $17.47B, the DoD said Thursday.
Work under ATSP4 includes technical support for the department's obsolete, unmaintainable or underperforming hardware and software. The ordering period runs through March 31, 2026.
DMEA received nine bids for the original indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive acquisition process and will obligate funds upon issuance of each task order.
