Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) has won a potential five-year, $64.1M contract from the U.S. Air Force to support operational training activities of Air National Guard.
The company will help manage technical and programmatic functions at the ANG’s Distributed Training Operations Center in Des Moines, Iowa, the Department of Defense said Friday.
HII will also assist in efforts to develop training scenarios, collect data, analyze networked operations, engineer and secure systems, plan tests and ensure software quality, among other tasks.
The servce branch issued the award under the multiple-award Training Systems Acquisition III contract vehicle and will initially $8.1M in fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds.
DoD expects the company to finish contract work by April 30, 2025.
