Ann Ackerson
Ann Ackerson, a more than three-decade supply chain management and procurement professional, will assume the role of global chief procurement officer at BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary on May 4.
She will succeed Paul Smith as CPO and oversee the global supply chain strategy as a member of BAE Systems Inc.’s senior leadership team and chair of the Global Procurement Council, the company said Thursday.
Smith will replace the retiring Joe Campbell as vice president and general manager of the U.S. arm’s ship repair business on June 15.
“Ann is a proven leader with extensive supply chain experience and customer focus across multiple industries,” said Tom Arseneault, president and CEO of BAE Systems Inc. and a 2020 Wash100 award winner.
Ackerson most recently worked at Freeman as senior VP of global supply chain management. Prior to Freeman, she served as CPO and VP of supply chain management at Siemens’ Dresser-Rand business. She also held leadership roles at Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and Boeing (NYSE: BA).
