Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has won a potential $727M contract to help the U.S. Air Force and Army migrate information technology applications to cloud infrastructure.
SAIC said Thursday it will update 800 mission apps for the two service branches under the USAF-awarded Common Computing Environment contract, or Cloud One.
The company plans to apply its software, information technology modernization, cyber, data analytics and cloud technology platforms to the cloud migration project.
Josh Jackson, executive vice president and general manager of SAIC's solutions and technology group, said the company proposed a comprehensive model meant to help military customers harness the full potential of cloud-based apps.
The contract has nine base months and four option years.
