Virginia-based REI Systems has received a contract with the General Services Administration to modernize the federal government’s open data website.
The company said Monday it will update the Data.gov information technology infrastructure in an effort to help GSA operate and maintain the online repository and develop associated applications.
Samidha Manu, senior director of REI Systems’ federal civilian business, said the company uses “agile” methods designed to align with the OPEN Government Data Act.
“We will work in tandem with GSA to achieve their modernization goals, while on-boarding and supporting federal agencies implementing the Data.gov processes,” Manu added.
