Todd Stirtzinger, a more than three-decade aerospace and defense industry veteran, has joined Alion Science and Technology as senior vice president of advanced technology group.
He will oversee the development of weapons, trusted hardware, rapid reverse engineering, prototyping, resilient avionics and other technologies as well as lead growth of engineering platforms in support of intelligence community and defense clients through the groups office in Dayton, Ohio, Alion said Tuesday.
Steve Schorer, CEO of Alion and a previous Wash100 award winner, said Stirtzinger is a visionary leader who will help the companys advanced technology group continue to promote innovation and further develop global defense and security platforms.
Stirtzinger previously served as a sector and division president at L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX), where he led operational execution, business strategy and growth efforts for the companys weapon-mounted lasers, visual augmentation systems and other mission platforms. He held senior leadership roles at Leonardo DRS during his 25-year career at the defense contractor.
