Peraton to Develop Satellite Ground Terminal Prototype for Army; Stan Kekauoha Quoted

Peraton has received a 20-month other transaction agreement to develop, engineer and integrate a satellite ground terminal system to support the U.S. Army™s tactical space defense mission.

The company said Tuesday it will be the prime contractor for research and development of the station prototype designed to work with military satellites in low-Earth orbit.

Stan Kekauoha, vice president for national security space at Peraton, said the contract builds on the company™s experience providing cyber, communications, intelligence, electronic warfare and space technology platforms to the U.S. military and intelligence community.

The Air Force Space and Missile Center’s Space Enterprise Consortium awarded the OTA.

Work will primarily take place in Herndon, Va.
