Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has been selected to update training programs at the Department of Defenses Cyber Crime Center in Maryland as part of a potential five-year, $216.6M contract.
The company said Tuesday it will work to help the DC3 Cyber Training Academy design, develop and deploy specialized platforms for the department’s cyber professionals.
Contract work also includes program management, operational support, curriculum development and delivery of training environments and associated technology.
DC3 CTA facilitates cyber training for Cyber Mission Forces and Defense Criminal Investigative Organizations. The academiy also supports personnel certification efforts in the forensic assessment and computer incident response areas.
Erik Larson, vice president of aerospace, technology and nuclear at Jacobs, said the company looks to apply tools and team experience to help train DoD personnel in cyber operations.
A General Services Administration-run center negotiated the contract with the Dallas-based professional services firm.
