Verizon is going to provide the voice and data services, dedicated voice mail, and audio, video, and web conferencing for the HHS. Verizon will also help design and set up conference rooms. HHS also has the option to extend the contract to receive security software, professional services, and other additional services which would increase the net worth of the contract.

Verizon is already providing telecom services to NASA, the U.S. General Services Administration, and the Department of Defense for its Defense Information Network System. Â
