Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded two regional task orders totalling $72 million to help the Transportation Security Administration integrate and deploy new passenger screening and security equipment at airports in the eastern and central U.S.
The task orders include one base-year plus one option-year.
“Lockheed Martin has partnered with TSA to test, evaluate, and install security equipment at U.S. airports since 2009. We’re honored that TSA chose to continue expanding that partnership, ” said June Shrewsbury, vice president of Citizen Protection Solutions at Lockheed Martin IS&GS-Civil.
Lockheed Martin will perform installations at nearly 300 airports in both regions. Work has already started in the eastern United States.
