Abdul Rahman, a former Mantech (Nasdaq: MANT) vice president with more than 10 years of cyber defense technology experience, has been named chief scientist at Fidelis Cybersecurity.
He has helped government clients design and implement platforms to secure big data against cyber threats, Fidelis said Thursday.
His other previous roles included chief technology officer at Enlighten IT Consulting, chief scientist at TexelTek and senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
Fidelis noted that Rahman specializes in the formulation of analytical approaches to process information for learning algorithms meant to facilitate network defenses through engineering innovation, data science and mathematical techniques.
The Bethesda, Md.-based company works with public and private sector customers to help them detect, track and respond to cybersecurity threats.
